Hello, freedivers!
I've just started a freediving course. The more I learn about freediving, the more curious I am about it.
I'm really into freediving now, practicing Frezel equalization every day which I have to get over.
I know it won't work as I might think, so I hope I can get information through freediviers in this forum.
cheers!

Welcome to DB! Lots of good info here. I recommend using the forum search to browse the archives, as tons of info about Frenzel has been discussed over the years. Of course, feel free to join in the discussions as well.

Hi there!

Good that you're doing a course. It's still on my to-do list. One of those 'I know I should, but...'-cases. Better do it right at the beginning like you're doing now.

As for frenzel, I always knew how to do it, never really had much tought about it, until I had to teach it to a friend. It's easy to teach face to face because if you can make certain noises with your soft palate, tongue and glottis, you can then combine the noises while pinching the nose and voilà, frenzel clearing. But I still have to figure out how to translate that to text... :)

As BatRay said: have a search on the forum, there are quite some topics on frenzel. Also look up Adam Stern on YouTube. He has some very good videos about this.

Thanks for your encouragement. I will try to get as much information as possible to be a better freediver.

Thanks for your sincere advice for frenzel. Frenzel has already become my friend. it sometimes bothers me, other times makes me feel great in the water.
As you advised, I will wander around here to get more information about it.
