There are no others that I am aware of in terms of being available to buyers outside Russia or the Ukraine. Hydropneumatic spearguns have not been produced elsewhere for many years. When the guns are powerful the weight helps counter the recoil, so any buoyancy must be added on which adds to the bulk. I tried this with my "Black Sea" gun, but soon removed the buoyancy aid as it was ineffective and the gun was better to handle underwater without it.

If you work out exactly what you want and send that info then you may receive a reply as this will show that you are serious about buying a gun.

I tried to import a pneumatic from Russia and found it too difficult. My relative have to spend some time with Customs to proof to them that it is SPEAR gun. Had similar reaction from US custom officer, who jumped on me saying that I have speargun in my car. He jumped and start reaching for his holster before word SPEAR sink in . Anyway - I wanted custom made pneumatic, wasn't able to get it from Ukraine or Russia so I bought pneumatic by Vladimir Ott (vlott.de). He is making them in Germany using one of famost Ukranien designs (originally by Zelinskiy) so customs wasn't a problem. Delivery by DHL was very slow. He has to send it twice - disassemble the front to depressurize it and put No Compressed Air lables all over the package. I only used it in the pool on foam fish target but for several weeks. So far good results. I bought 60 cm one, it hitting rate is the same as with my 40" Riffe Competitor 1S at the same distance of 12 feet. Louder, which is expected. Fantastic handle (righties only) and fast to reload as all pneumatics. I'm heading out for 2 weeks in Mexico and will publish real-life review.

Thanks for the reference, I checked out the web-site! It is interesting to see that these guns float as demonstrated by two of them floating in a bathtub! http://vlott.de

Just cite the "Cobra-Sub" and "Mako-Sub" pneumatic spearguns that were once made in your own country, there should be no problem with the speargun as a type as they all used hand pumps. If in doubt apply for official permission to import at your end (even if that is not actually required), then you can work on getting one out from the vendor country.

Confirming: Vladimir Ott's gun in fact floats without shaft even in fresh-water pool. Very convenient.
Update: Last week I managed to break tail piece which serve as a plug for the air pump hole and also as a protector for rear line holder. Got replacement part in a week. I like that... I'll be testing it in the sea of Cortez in two days

How did you go with the new gun in the Sea of Cortez?
