Hi all, since some time i've been training a lot dnf and monofin tecquiche for improuving em, since i think that you could be best freediver in the world but if you miss tecquiche your results are not the best since you're not 100% efficent, so me and my buddy are making some videos for see our mistakes and undestand em better.
Here's a video of dnf, am the second freediver, since now i saw two main mistakes: 1) when i use arms i do a little stop near my chest go back with hands and then close the stroke. 2) i must add minimum half kg.
Others advices are welcome! Here's the vid

- Indeed a bit more weight.
- a little more shoulder flexibility (minor point)
- more fluid hand motion
- simpler and bigger hand motion.
- the hands should have a gradual build up in speed (slow -> faster) but I'm against a 'whip motion' at the end because it takes relaxation away.
- the hand movement should start quicker after the legs have done theirs. 1 count, after arms 2 counts pause.
- keep the feet back and closed together.
- In general I had better results when I relax more, swam 'slow'- fluid, pushed off slow until the first contraction hits, after that I speed up a bit.

- On the video, it's very artistic and nice, but for analysing better/ more light is more practical.

tx a for the advices, i had already noticed all the problems you mentioned so happy that other people didn't see others. About the video unfortunatly can't have more lights the pool has bad illumination.

Just weighting really. It's killing off your glide and messing up your cadence, because you have to keep taking strokes to correct your posture. That constant correction prevents you from rising in the water and disguises the problem somewhat.

i was thinking how to divide weights, since i've 4.5 kg on my neck and i've to reach somthing like 5.3 kg for being neutratl, and it's a lot of weigh on my neck, but if i put some on my weightbelt the total amount of weights would be near 6 kg cuz will be 3 kg on neck and 3 on belt since you need to put more weight on belt compared to neck.

I would put most on the neck. If you need 5.3kg total to be neutral, I would put 4.8k on the neck and just 0.5k on the belt. Neckweight improves momentum in the water.

Try neutral buoyancy tests: push the wall and keep a streamlined position until u stop. If you are perfectly weighed, you should very, very slowly drift up to the surface. If you go to the bottom, you need to take off some weight.

Done and with 5 kg i go up all on neck, so that's the problem of adding weight on neck and that's why i wanna distribute it a little on my weightbelt

Hi rddk

You could try downloading Quicktime player and run your, BTW supergood, footage in that software. The reason is that you, with the scroll button, can go frame by frame, so you can watch all the bad habits up close.
With this online tool you can also grab videos of others, such as Mullins, and scrutinize his style too ;)
A really helpful tool to get into the details!

I would just say try to keep completely straight with all limbs and keep your fingers together.
Correct weighting also does a lot to help, so you don´t need to have the legs flying here and there to keep balance.

Im currently working to try to balance out a 2mm suite. Among other things I ware 2kg in a strap around my b.... elly :D under the suite and located on the front. I have seen a tied together mountainbike tube used for the purpose too.

Have a nice weekend!
H!
