All the guns on Ebay are in inches and I'm used to seeing them in cm. So if a gun on Ebay is 42 inches, how long is that in centimeters? I prolly could've googled this but oh well.

Your question may not be all that stupid after all, american vendors like riffe will mesuare there guns on the entire stock size like 50 inches, etc. (they also have band stretch similar to the eurogun size)

Eurogun on the other hand will label their guns based on the size of the barrel, when you see an euro 100 the 100 is the size of the barrel the entire gun is longer then a meter.

So a 42 inch gun will have a different size for eurogun or american gun.

huh, that makes me feel better. thanks, it's good info to have:)

Aesop to convert inches to cm multiply inches by 2.54 to get cm and for cm to inches divide by 2.54.
then you only have to worry about what the size is describing as mentioned in previous post most american and some australian gun sizes are overall lengths of the gun so you would have to subtract about 20cm or 8inches from ythe lentgh before comparing to a Euro style length therefore a 40 inch US rear handle gun with hip loading stock is not actually a 1m gun but only an 80cm gun- approximate conversion.
