Inflatable Kayak as an SMB.. Advise?

Hi All.

I have been thinking to get myself a smallish inflatable kayak instead of a float board. Ideally i would like a rigid kayak but I have no space either at home or in the car. I realise the restrictions of inflatables compared to rigid. I'm not looking to use this to get out to further reefs or paddle any great distance, just as more of a SMB that I can paddle a short distance if necessary and/or rest on. This is the type of thing I have in mind

Any advise would be appreciated especially if anyone is using the same or similar.

just my 2p worth but i think it will have lots of windage and could leave you with a false sense of security. check out how tough the material is too. if its tough like the SUP boards then that could work, but maybe an inflatable sup would be better?
personally i would keep clear of inflatables like that.
also, maybe have a look at the sevylor and beauchat, etc dive hunter floats, you can fin with them whilst keeping your body out the water. The new banks board also does that...
its a hard choice when you are space restricted

Thanks. I will take your advise and steer clear of something like this. Your right it may give a false sense of security. Its a shame inflatables aren't better they would be a great solution. Just wish I had the space for a rigid kayak.
