Hey guys, looking to get a kayak and I was wondering if there's any big pro's or cons when comparing inflatable kayaks to regular ones. I'm buying a tandem one so me and my buddy can go out to the local reefs. I'm thinking inflatable for portability. Any thoughts?

I have an ocean kayak Caper, the thing is awesome. I am a big guy, 6'4" 220, and it floats me and all my gear comfortably and some fish if I spear any. They main advantage I see is the durability, it's a tank! I beat it up and it's no worse for wear. My dad has one that is 15 yrs old and we dive it all the time. The transportability is cake, I just toss it on top of my corrolla and ratchet the front and back under my bumpers. I have friend who does the same thing with his tandem on his Escort. The kayaks also only weigh about 50lbs so they're easy to carry to the beach. The ease of set up is another bonus, you just toss it from the car to the water and you're ready to roll, and when you get home you hose it off and put it away until next time. The places I dive here in central and nor cal are usually rocky and I'm pretty hard on all my gear and dive often so it's the only way to go, but Florida may be a bit different. Either way you go, you will love it. Kayak diving is the bomb!
