Hey Guys...

This may be a dumb questions, but for the life of me I can't figure out what type of pump I could use, besides my cheeks, to blow up my new riffe float. I have the Torpedo Divers float and here is what it says on the website:
"Capable of positive 6 lb. inflation by pump, 2 lb. by mouth"

What type of pump? I have tried multiple ball pumps and bike pumps and the dive shops I talk to don't have a clue. I can blow it up by mouth, but I was wondering if I might be able to get a bit more buoyancy by using a pump?

Hopefully someone else might have an idea.

Thanks in advance.

Ikan.

the riffe float i have can only be inflated by mouth

Thanks for the input Marwan. It appears that the one I have also can only be inflated by mouth.

Happy Hunting....

Ikan :)

The buoyancy is solely a function of the volume of water the float displaces, so using a pump to inflate it to higher pressure will not make a significant difference (EDIT: As long as the float stays on the surface) and potentially damage the material.
Whatever pressure You can apply with Your lungs will probably suffice. - After all You're a freediver, Your lungs should be in top shape, right? :D

I know it probably doesn't apply in the freediver forums but some floats such as the aimrite are capable of being inflated to a couple of bar or so. This gives then a little more resistance to being flattened if they are pulled underwater by a fish whilst hunting
