interesting gun on a tight budget

after doing months of research and reading hundreds of threads on which spear gun to get i finally made a decision and picked it up today. thank all of you guys that posted comments on the Omer HF! Today I picked up my new Omer HF 3D camu w/50 reel, what a sweet gun!!!! one comment still stands out which was in regards to gun size, the post said that the guns are larger than you think. With out having ever held an Omer i was thinking about the 130cm but figured that most likely the 110cm was going to be the right size and the 100cm would be too small, i got the 100cm and it is much longer than i expected! any one considering a HF or HF2 i encourage you to go hold one you will be decided after doing so. They feel so solid and such good quality. just an opinion of a regular guy who like to spear when i can (not often enough to justify buying this gun, but dont tell my wife that!!!). I unfortunately am a guy who lives less than pay check to paycheck. I get paid, pay my bills, and wonder how i will survive the other 13 days untill next pay day so it hurt spending $380 today! while at the dive shop i noticed a gun that from 10 feet away looked like a 110cm black omer hf but it was only $179. I was determined to get the gun i heard so much about and saved so long for and goth the Omer HF 3D camu but was thinking that this other gun would be a great second choice for others on a tight budget or only spear every so often. It was all composit and had the Omer cuttlefish design but it wasnt an Omer. Ive never heard of this modle before today. looked pretty cool, it is the Mares Phantom FV Fiberglass Speargun. might be worth checking out if you dont want to spend too much on a gun.
