Have you ever had one of those times when you read about some famous person and say "hey, I knew her before she was famous"? This is one of those times for me.
Back in 2009 she and Ren came out to California to do their PFI instructor training course, and I had the pleasure of taking them spearfishing on my boat. She was absolutely delightful, and I knew that if the anchor got hung up in the rocks or a fish wrapped up deep in the kelp, I wouldn't have to break out the scuba gear.
This was before she and Ren were married and I tried to leave him on the dock, but she insisted on bringing him along.
