Hi all,

Great site! I first became interested in free diving as a teenager in San Diego. My friends and I liked to pretend to spearfish. Needless to say, we weren't very good. Later, as an ocean lifeguard, I took a liking to freediving the kelp beds. And finally, I further pursued my interest in free-diving as a navy officer. More on that later. Just wanted to say hello.

Hi ! :wave

I read your interesting post about underwater training for the SEALS... I am affiliated in the diving club of the Navy (where I am supposed to set up a freediving section)...

There is a particular operational application of freediving for the Navy : the evacuation of sunken submarines... Have you got some - non confidential - elements on this matter ?
