Hello everyone!

We'd like to invite all of You to the wonderful land of Mazury, Poland, for the first ever “Crystal Clear Water Competition”.

This event will take 4 diving days and it's going to feature 3 main freediving disciplines: constant weight, free immersion and unassisted.

The competition will be included in the official AIDA ranking.

Watch out for more info at:

Best,
Michael

Hope you will have a good competition!

Sounds like a great competition, and a nice web site!
Note that on the "about" page it says... Between 27th and 31st of May, 2009 crystal clear waters... the dates must be wrong.
Also, I could not see anywhere the location of this lake and how to get there. ok I didn't look at the polish pages:)

What does it mean "crystal clear"?

Noted. The date should be alright by now. I've also added a map:
The lake - Crystal Clear Water Competition
Directions on how to get there will follow.

What does it mean "crystal clear"?

That the water in our lake is almost as clear as a crystal, of course ;)

Sounds like a very nice competition!

Is the price including the stay in the house?

I like to come, but I need to find myself some transportation to the border of Lithuania from the Netherlands.

After the competition I think it's better to go strait on to Sweden for Nordic Deep.

The other Challenge is getting the week off from my employer. (too little personnel)

A practical question, do you have a boat to get to the competition line?
For competitions I wear a very thin suit but I don't want to be cooled by a swim to the competition line.

Are there Polish divers who also go to Nordic Deep I could travel with?

Do you have any underwater photo's of the lake?

Thanks!

Kars

Hi Kars

The price not including the stay in the house, but the price for nigh are not higher ( apr. 10 EURO/night )

Yes we have a boat for get the competitors to the line.

I don’t hear about Polish freedivers who go to Nordic Deep but …..

We try to organize some underwater photos.

Please remember that in 10 m deep the water have 4 C.

BR Radek

So I need to get busy with my tax return application..

Ok, I think I'll take the Eurolines bus to Warsaw, and there is a bus stop in Bialystok.
Are there any Polish freedivers who can pick me up?

Nice to hear about the boat.

Can I stay for free in a tent outside? - just like in sweet Sweden where you can camp for free :) I can cook for you in return :)

To many 4c sounds cold but, when the surface temp is reasonable, like 15c, and there is some sunshine and clear waters I'm happy to dive with a thin suit :) - a warm core temperature is what's matters most.

I see in your schedule you offer 4 starts! ; very nice!

After the comp I like to go to Gdansk, to catch another Eurolines bus and cross the Baltic sea to Sweden, can I have a lift with a freediver living near that place?

Your event fit's pretty nice with Nordic Deep :)

Thanks Radek!

Surface temperature will be a bit higher, maybe even 20C or more. You have to wait for other guys to respond to some of Your questions.
Maybe You can get a lift from Warsaw, because there is quite a few Freedivers from there.

Re: Invitation to the “Crystal Clear Water Competition” in Poland

Hey guys!
Stop thinking..the decision is obvious! Come to Poland! I'm sure you will find help in accomodation and transport. Poles are known for their politeness and you will be surely greately welcomed!
As for the weather..it will be lottery..it may be sunny and hot but on the other hand it may rain..but it's all because of YOU! Stop buying old cars and use the old ones and in few years there will be 40C summer everywhere:):)
No just kidding the summer should be hot, last year it was so!
As for the competition..it isn't the first time it takes place so the experience is at high level..

I just registered through the site, Now I need to wait for my employer to grand me the days off... (Oh dear master, can I please have my earned days off?? PLeeeeaase?? - )

On the planned bus trip has anyone has experience with this bus transportation site? ITSOFT ?

BTW The polish money ration to Euro's is 100 PLN: 22,88 EUR.

Hope to get confirmations soon :)

Kars money is the least important factor..zloty is so low that you will be astonished how much you can buy for you Euro:)
Before the trip take phone number from one of guys, it will be easier for you to contact them before arriving..
I hope you will be satisfied with our country..honestly I'm sure you will:p
Remember to make some pictures!

Bad news,

My employer is not giving me the needed days of :( Also the rest of the weeks, thus nullifying my vacation and record plans... Don't ever use TNT post service...

So Radek I'm sorry but I cannot attend your nice competition I was looking so much forward to!

Kars

Guys are busy competing and resting so I am gonna update a little here because there's some nice depth to look at.

Many national records were set:

- FIM new NR @ 63m by Bartek Janiszewski

- CWT was first set to 60m and next day further to 62m by the same diver, Robert Cetler

- CNF new NR of 51m by Maciek Lipiec (Matt July:))

and Jonas Krahn from Germany leading the competition setting German NR in FIM 71m!

For all of You diving in warm blue waters, let me remind You that we're talking cold darkness here...
nice job boys!
