After 10 years its time to invest in a proper spearfishing wetsuit, will something like Beuchat Marlin Elite 3.5mm with long johns (closed cell) be warm enough for the UK May to September (12c-16c).
When it comes to the cold i'm a big girl but my well fitting 5/3 Salomon surf suit with glued and taped seams and a well sealed back zip has done the job admirably. Even though its a tiny amount, the little bit of water that makes it through the collar and zip really chills me to the bone, especially in may when i can only last for about an hour. So I'm thinking that once this problem is eliminated i wont feel the cold so much
The lighter the neoprene, the better for me. I currently need to carry about 8kg and it drives me crazy clambering up and down the cliffs as does the hassle of getting in and out of my suit. So basically i would like some help to decide what is the thinnest (closed cell) suite i could get away with, something that is flexible, quick and easy to get into and requires the minimum of weighting.
