Is there any freediving clubs in west lothion, scotland.

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
At the moment there seems to be only one organised group in Scotland.
We train at bellshill pool on a Monday night from 9-10pm
We are running an AIDA part one course on the 7th of June.
This is the minimum required qualification required. Plus you must be 18 or over.
You are welcome to come along for a chat.
It would be great to you started and form a group of your own near where you live.

Nice one will try and get there next Monday. As I am just starting out I will hold off on starting my own. I used to dive and did a bit of snorkelling but never freediving so I have no experience.

Because of all the health and safety stuff these days we can't allow anyone to train with us on a regular basis unless they've completed an AIDA part one.
You're welcome to come along and have a chat and spend the hour in the water as a tester to see if you like the idea.
Our next course us 6th June.
If you can get at least one other person on the course it gets a group started where you can train in your area.

Cheers.

The course will be £130-£150.
It will run from 10-11 am to 6-7pm.
There will be a 3-4 hour class session.
3-4 hour pool session. The back to the class for a debrief and the exam.
There is also precourse study work sent to you. This will be some of the exam content.
You will also have breath hold practice to do. This will enable you to get a lot more from the pool session.
If you decide you want to take part go to Freedive Scotland. The link to pay the deposit is there.
I would say don't leave it too long to decide we only have 6 spaces per course.
Any other questions just ask.

Well the Scotland Freediving course went well. We had some nice performances from the Freedivers, and finished off the outside part of the course for a few people in the Lake district. If you want to keep an eye on the next AIDA 2* Freediver course coming up then go to http://www.learn2freedive.com/scottishfreediving.shtml and I will add the new date there. Hopefully it will be the end of July, or the beginning of August. There will be regular Manchester courses in between too.

A short video from the weekend

Course cost is £120 pool and theory, £130 Open water btw.

See you there :-)
