We had a drop of snow in London last night, just though a few photos might do it justice....

Managed to get the car within a couple of miles of works and then walked the rest, in hindsight - stupid! The roads are gridlocked, only the Surrey 4x4 brigade getting through!

The first picture shows where I had just passed a farmer who was having a job locating his livestock.....cant understand why ;->

The second picture shows some careful parking

And the third just shows general prettiness!

Am thinking that if I had some gaffer tape in the car my cressi garas could have been the footwear of choice.

Have made it in, cleared a swathe of snow from around the office and am now heading back to my car that i carefully parked in a drift on the side of the road. I am now armed with a shovel though, so I'll be digging my way home.

Wish me luck as I am going outside and may be some time......

looks bad your way Jim, down here in sunny Dorset we only have a light coating -- good luck with your shovel :)

Yep, he's right! I've just brushed a light dusting off the palm tree, cracked open a can of lilt and am now tucking into a bounty - tropical!

We’ve not had a single flake up here, just goes to show that the sun always shines on the righteous.:):)
Jim by the look of that you’ve been a very bad boy, hope you stocked up on pies to keep your strength up before you made the trip back to yer car.:D

I say Ben, glass of Pimms with that Bounty bar old boy.roflrofl

Looks like I spoke to soon as it’s coming down here now, and I mean coming down. I can’t even see to the other side of the car park and that’s only 50 or so feet away.
Can’t wait to get home for the family Rogers snowball fight.:):):)

A bit of a dusting here, but not much. Students I had to teach today got really excited as we don't often see snow.

I told them they can make snow by whisking up a bowl of water , or beating it with a fork and then putting it in the freezer.

If it comes out like a bowl of ice they didn't whisk it hard enough and they need to try again but beat it harder.

They should have some fun tonight ;>) !

Just as well I booked a holiday to get away from all this snow......
....

......snowboarding in France:D

Well I'm 29 (well old!!) and this is the first time I have seen this much snow in Guernsey. Last time it was this heavy I think was 1987 when I had to walk to school which was open with a whole 3 out of 15 in my class showed up, so over 20 years ago and I don't ever remember the schools being shut, but then I am young and I didn't pay attention to schools from when I left til when the nipper started, maybe the old man will know the last time this happened here??

I soooo didn't want to be at work today!!
