I've a question about wood types for building a roller gun.

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
found it in the yard and glue it already 3 ash wood and 4 mahogany it look nice but durability is my goal

Nice! My only question is, I dont see a lot of excess epoxy pushed out from the joints & what is visible is very clear & thin looking. I'm sure it has excellent strength, but have you looked into microfibers to thicken & strengthen the epoxy & bond? I like to thicken the epoxy almost to the consistency of peanut butter even when laminating with carbon & other fibres.

I removed it from the blank because I want to save the time and money when machine it with that extra epoxy ,guys in workshop will refuse to machine it until u remove it ,i like the idea of using carbon , for thickening the epoxy it not possible as we don't have here that kind of microfiber and the epoxy already little thick .
