Hi everyone. New to the forum. I've been searching the web all day and can't find anyplace that sells parts or services the old US diver Jaguar guns. I have one that is in excellent condition in appearance but I'd like to go through it or have someone service it before I try to use it. Any help would be appreciated

I love the old Technisub Jaguars. They came in 2 sizes, long and short. One in the pic is the long version.

As to actually using one today, my advice would be forget it. You might be able to sell it to a collector and buy a new gun.

They are simple to strip down and you might be able to bodge up some parts although surely no one will have new spares for a 30 year old gun. Even if they did or you custom made some bits they were a gun of their time. Today pneumo guns are cheap and about a thousand times more efficient than a Jag. Chalk and cheese.

If you want to see the gun in action get a copy of the original James Bond film Thunderball. Everyone had them for the underwater fight scenes. Sean Connery also pins a baddy to a plam tree using a jag with the "I think he got the point" line.

Dave.

Mr X:

Mine looks just like that one and just as good of shape in appearance. The only difference I can see is that mine has like a bullet on the butt end that has a pointer to indicate charge pressure.

Well if I can't find parts for it any one interested in adding one to their collection shoot me a PM or e-mail me at hooka-2@comcast.net. I 'd concider trades for a newer giun.

The ball tail ended spears are probably no longer available, so really one for the wall. That is where mine is.

Didn't a new member recently (within the last month) post a "Hello" thread and mention that he repaired older pneumatic guns, possibly a Cuban guy in Florida?

Thanks Mr. X I found the post and sent him an e-mail. from his old post ZI don't think he will be able to help. He was looking for a place to buy Mares repair kits. If he was having trouble finding those he will really have a hard time finding parts for my gun. But what the heck i sent an e-mail anyway.

Anyone looking for a pretty wall hanger?

Hi did you manage to get anywhere with this gun? I have just acquired a very good condition jaguar with spear and two brass pumps. Used to be my grandads. The butt is where the pump connects to isn't it? Almost like a giant tyre valve. Pushing the valve in let some pressure out that's still in there... That to me says the seals are still OK ? I know my grandad would have no dought changed the seal at some point back long ago. I'm just hoping he might have some spares in the hundreds of random boat jumble boxes....

As I said any luck with trying it? I'd love to be able to use it again even if it is only a couple of shots... Just more in his honour really!

Cheers
