I was reading an article about the legend that is Jaques Mayol in the latest edition of Diver mag. It refers to an interview he did where he states:

"Some yogis in India are able voluntarily to lower their pulse rates to 1 beat per minute"

An incredible feat I am sure you will agree!! I was equallyt amazed to read that some are able to suppress respiration for up to 22 mins!! How is this possible? Surley it is against all human phyisological capabilities to survive this long without O2?
