The wood in the spearguns is always selected as top quality tropic wood with straight grains and really well dried. After lamination, already hard wood is no longer subject to wrapping or cracking. I use my dentons more or less 4 5 times a week in really tough conditions and believe me i have yet to see any nasty view apart from a couple of scratches.

The mass of the wood and the design of the gun targeted to achieve a certain power level is the key. Believe me you cant go wrong with a nice wooden gun.
