Pole tapers from 5/8 to a 1/2 other prototype is 3/4 to 5/8. All the pieces are interchangeable so you can shoot a 4' pole or increase it to 12', tip is 3/8" x 20" stainless which can be changed to 1/2" x 20" carbon tube and the butt end can be rigged a few ways with an improvised quick release detach to change bands- that is the pole has 2 butt ends one on and one spare that can have say a heavier band, so when your out in the water you can switch them up in a cinch, by simply unscrewing the butt and putting on the new one, same goes for the tip the 3/8" tip for rocky strx, and the CarbonF tip for open water...howz it looking?

Tone, what is it? A telescopic polespear or am I misunderstanding?

Gotta share that stuff your smokin' with me Spagoroflroflrofl

No its a spearpole, made in 2', 3', or 4' sections (have not decided yet, but steering towards the first piece starting as a 4' pc, then all other add-on pieces in 3' increments). Ideally the spearpole can be used as a shorty (4') or a few pieces can be added on to 12' or more.

on another not a telescoping spearpole sounds pretty fresh:martial

Unfortunately it's all in the air now :t

Steel please understand I'm a euro-peon dumb arse, so you have to teach me the fundamentals. What is the difference between a spearpole and a polespear? Or more simply put: what is that thing you're building for?

i believe polespear and spearpole are the same thing, he was saying no to the telescoping part.

I believe it is a sectional polespear that can simply be used at different lengths for the situation

looks great steel, any idea about the weight? what is it made out of and is it hollow or solid?

Looks like a nice piece of engineering but like spag I have no knowledge with pole spears, never even seen one!
PS - Tone, check out the last link in my signature.

the spellingrofl

nawww in all seriousness its basically a pole with a rubberband at the end (hopefully) one of our Bermuda friends will chime in with a picture or two on hole deadly this stick can be...I have a local friend who is a living legend with one;).

Exatamente!

LB the wt is in ounces, but the alum (hollow) was cheap (soft) as this is just the first full proto (run about 7 with different tweeks) looking into a harder stiffer alum recently one came out that is close to titanium inproperties, but not yet available in the states, nor in the length I'm looking at...as for the connections helicoils have been suggested, but I personally don't like them, so I'm gonna try a new type of twist on attaching them or might just fall back on Timeserts which I have used before and prefer much more than the heli.

Ultimately the idea is to have one pole that can be useful under an assortment of hunting conditions, and that is functional and practical.

Fox that is sweet said it before say it again PP is a great fart-master, gonna be following this thread closely, thx man!
