getting back to free diving after a long spell , i live only 10 minute from the beach where the water is in the 80S all year round and you could see up to 100 ft in a clear calm day, use to hunt for deer up state NY, but here in the Island is no such thing people here hunt for doves , so in no way im going to hunt for them , so i decided to hunt for lion-fish , im not new in seeing them because when i was station in Okinawa , japan i use to see them a lot when i use to go free diving out there , like 200 times in a year, our barracks was only 200 feet from the beach. i Enjoy diving there after liberty call. Is anyone here from P.R. north west side of the Island who been hunting for them? my mask is a Atomic Aquatics and i have Omar millenium ice fin (they are huge!!), one thing for sure i have to get back in shape to use them ,lol
but i will start with my smaller fins

There is a good youtube post showing how to clean lionfish and eliminate the toxins in the spines by immersing in ice water--with salt added to drop temp.
