Karma system broken?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.

I tried to toss Alun some karma for his Rudi article and it said I had to spread it around first. I'm pretty sure that I've never "karminated" him before -- what's the deal?
 
The Karma system stops you from posting Karma twice within a same time period. It doesn't have to be the same person.

This is to stop Karma "Spamming".

Hmm, didn't violate that constraint either.

Also, is karma on a log-scale or something? My karma has gone up like 50x since I first had 2 squares and I still have 2 squares -- no biggie, I'm just a digi-weenie, so I'm curious about these things.
