Here's one way to recycle a worn or damaged suit.

I've been wanting to try this for a while, because while rubber knife straps are fine over a wetsuit, I find them uncomfortable on bare skin. This sleeve was made by cutting the calf portion off a damaged suit, and using the knee pad to form the knife pocket. It's really comfortable, easy to slide around into the best position, and fits my upper arm nicely if I want to wear it there.

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to try it out this weekend, and report back.

Woo Hoo! I got a chance to try my new knife sleeve this weekend, and I really love it. Even on bare skin, I completely forget that it's there. And it fits fine over my wetsuit as well, so I can use it anytime.

nice one! i used the cuff of an old wetsuit as a watch protector, i just cut a hole in it. it lasted me 10 years of diving, it has only just become threadbare.
