Any intel on this area for novice spero? I will be there the weekend of june 3rd. I plan on only using a pole spear (purist). any places to shore dive? Do I need a wetsuit? thanks for any intel. If any one wants to hook up and show the dude the ropes, post dive beers are on me.

johnnyutah, when i lived in LA, shore diving in south malibu areas have been good for me in the past; the kelp beds in area have a bit of nice calicos of more than legal size. definitely think of bringing a suit - 5mm would be best - unless you want to freeze your ass off. calicos are a bit skiddish and a pole spear would definitely be a bit more of a challenge.
