Buenos dias (sp?)

I'm going on a family get-together trip to La Manga in Spain in a couple of weeks. Has anyone been there and can they recommend any good freediving sites? There's apparently a marine park near there called Islas Hormigas, also a big lagoon called the Mar Menor. Either any good?

Gracias (yeah I know, but I ought to practice) Bryan

La Manga

Hola, I am an spearfisher and I have been living in San Javier, very near La Manga. The Mar Menor (the big lagoon) is not very appropiate to dive because is very shallow and the landscape (do you say sea-scape?) is very monotonous (only sand without rocks) Resuming, I think you must dive in the outer side of the Manga, no inside the Mar Menor.
I don't know the Hormigas Islands ( they are not very close to the Manga, you will need a car) but I have heard it is a good place to dive (may be is forbidden to fish there, I don't know if you are free-diving only or you like to catch fishes)
Where now I live (Balearic Islands) is better to dive and this is the reason because I have moved here.
Un saludo.
