Regards,
At what stage of your dive(dyn.with fins or cw)occurs lactic phase(burning feeling in the legs)generrally speaking? To me it happens in the last stage of dive after few contractions yust before surfacing.I ve never push myself further after this feeling appears.

Lactic phase begins when the dive reflex starts, vasoconstriction/centralization restrict the blood flow to extremities so the work will be anaerobic. Lactic acid will accumulate, muscle performance will degrade and you feel the lovely burning pain sensations. :)

When you get the feeling depends very much on your lactic tolerance, some people have very high lactic tolerance so they don't get much difference. For me, in pool disciplines it's roughly at halfway of the maximum when I notice the change to anaerobic zone. The earlier the better, it means that the dive reflex is kicking in as early as possible.

In CWT the dives differ so much that I can't say, depends much on what I've been doing.

Thanks,
When i do a full lungs apnea walking that feeling starts at very end about 01:15 min.-01:30 min,in the pool practicing dyn.with fins that begin after 40-50 m,and at frc walking apn.starts very early after 20-30 sec.
Maybe this is the best way to practice tolerance for lactic phase, and in pool i should try some more endure,if you say that to you lactic phase occurs halfway of performance.
Once again thank you very much for your response!
