Lake freediving in Oregon?

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be in Astoria, Oregon this upcoming August for a wedding and wanted to possibly do some freediving. I read that there are a lot of clear lakes in the north west. Any recommendations for freediving? I read an older thread on Oregon Freediving palooza 2008. Does anyone know if there will be a fd palooza for 2009?

I'd prefer to stay closer to Astoria if possible.
