Lake Geneva Murder Death Kill

Hey guys me and my buddy are planning to get up to lake geneva in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully on a weekday when the traffic is less and we might spend the night at a campground or cheap motel.

If any of you would like to join up with us lets start throwing out some dates. I was also thinking of renting a boat for the day to cover more ground.

I also have a cool underwater camera and video camera so we can even shoot a "spoof" episode of Speargun Hunter! :blackeye

I got a new HF2 that needs to have some blood on it!
 
Let us know what day(s) you plan on going. If I have off- I might even bring my boat.
 
Not fair... heres another event I wont be able to go to. I need to bust into some of these online videos considering that mine are all lame, but Im there. Search for "smoothie123" on youtube. Im the diver in the trailers for the spearfishing contest.
 
We might be thinking a Tues & Wed but not sure just yet. I will know a solid couple of dates after fathers day.

Whopper if you bring your boat that would be awesome! We'll cover gas and such. :inlove
 
you also might want to think about Lake Michigan if the weather is good- Perch season opens on the 16th (Monday) you can shoot 5 per day (10 possession limit)
 
Super not fair. Im going to have to take lots of pictures of the ocean to make you all as jealous as I am right now. :t
 
:t I just got back from San Diego for business. I bagged a 52lb. White Sea Bass! Not really, I just wanted to make you guys really jealous! rofl

I did meet a great guy out there called Brent, he has a few stores called OEX. He is shipping me back my new Sea Sniper 75 Reef gun! I can't wait to bag a carp with that bad boy.

Those Sea Snipers look great. They use Mori's shafts too. I have a Mori Shaft and slip tip.

*When* I move to Florida I'm going to buy a wood enclosed track gun. Not sure which one yet.
 
Ha ha guess whos in florida right now! Couldnt fit that rob allen in the suitcase :rcard, but my brothers boss has a couple sawed offs so Im hoping to hit some little groupers or mullet, and then play hide from the bullsharks!
 
Play hide from the Bulls? Good luck. My parents have a house in Palm Beach and I dive down there quite regularly. And one day I was swimming back to to the boat and Bull showed up and swam around me playing follow the leader. And BAM he bumped me in the ribs!

Not a great experience, you feel real insignificant. It really scared the crap out of me and I have not been right in the water since. It took almost 4 months for me just to get back in the water.

I know they say you have a better chance of getting hit by lighting... but I think they are full of s&*T. It was just blind luck that he didn't take a bite to find out if I was Sushi.

I don't mean to scare ya'. But on another note I am building my Carbon guns with the first prototype done by the end of July and heading straight to the ocean! I can't wait.

I talked with my buddy and we are going to schedule our Lake Geneva Murder Death Kill outing tonight so I will post up the specs then.

Well Ive dove with sharks before, and never even been bumped. That would be a scary experience however. I didnt go today because the water was murky (increases the chance that they confuse you for sushi :t) but maybe later. Caught a little jack from shore, as well as a spanish mackeral. Pictures to follow in my florida internship post.
 
Well, Murphy had his say on our meeting of the minds and we couldn't get together to discuss the outing. I have hopes in getting some dates tonight!

My trigger finger has been really twichy for almost 2 years now, I really need to get out. If my buddy can't make it I might just go myself.

My parts are starting to arrive for the Mack Daddy of all spear guns (I hope) :blackeye so I am right on schedule.
 
Good luck with the gun brah. If you ever come as far north as portage county, Ive got a ton of guys that would be happy to dive whenever. Its 24/7 back home.
 
I posted up in another thread that we might head out to L.M. if we can get a couple of other people. I am going to try to take advantage of the time and if not the lake then I am heading off to Haigh Quarry (no spearfishing but really clear diving right now, with lots of junk to look at) if anyone wants to meet up and ride with (those IL peeps).
