Lakes: some very cold

Hey guys lets talk about hunting in lakes and the different types of fish, where to find them, what season, depths, etc. I hunt in lakes for pike sometimes 20' dives and just wait around a log or weeded area for one to show up. Water temps like around 11C. Perch in shallower areas, lots of weeds, same water temp.

You must be using tanks if you are doing 20' dives and just wait for one to show up?

Pike - any lake with weed beds in less than 10 feet of water. I have never found that many when I completely tangle myself up in weeds - always see tons on the fringe of weed beds.

Walleye - usually sandy bottom. In spring/early summer you easily get them in less than 10 feet of water. By mid-summer they go down to 15-25 feet of water.

Burbot - cold, cold, cold water. And deep...
