I've been down to the dive center in lakeside, thurrock in essex recently and the owner has told me there is also another freediver who has been going in (bought a D4 recently) jammy git!!

Anyway, i have left my number with the shop owner, give me a call as he told me i can use the lake in the winter months (only 15mtrs but good for practicing holds etc and testing equiptment)

Let us know if your on these forums...

Thanks

Chris

Hey chris, Yes thats has to be me.
how you doing . training at lakeside would be great..... I drive down to salt free in chepstow once a month to get my training in but I want more than just once a month... this would be a great chance to work on technique and equalising so
lets get some diving done at lakeside... are you 1 or 2 star... I use a mono.
what days and times can you do ....let me know. Martin

mmm... not somewhere I'd choose to freedive... watch out for shopping trollies! (and I think there are a few of those Swan pedalo boats at the bottom too!)

but then again its about 8 years since I've been to Lakeside and I am somewhat biased.... : )

Hey sam , yeah I know what you mean still I'll give it a try..... probably maybe but like ben said.... I'm a salt free man at heart.
see you soon.

Hey, don't dis my essex pond! Iv'e heard it has a real authentic XR3i at the bottom and a Capri turbo...lol

All jokes aside, i'm just sorting my suit out etc as i'm only fitted out for the pool. I need to order it from Elios and sort some other bits out, the guy in the shop said it's only 15mts and quite clear vis from Sept - Dec

There will never be a substitute for SaltFree i'm sure, i cant wait to get the rest of my equiptment so i can get fully involved with you guy's down in Chepstow.

I've got my deepwater tank diver, done it last year with Emma Farrell at Deeperblue by the way.

Give you a shout once i'm kitted out!!!

Thanks, oh and sam i cant wait to meet you too...

Its been my local lake too I swam open water there for three years.....:)
yep when its cold the vis will be good. didn't know it was only 15m deep but what the hell lets go find some trolleys:t get your self kitted and give me a shout.... by the way the D4 is WICKED.. see ya mate. good diving and keep up that training cos judging by your blog site you are really doing well.

I have started putting a few quid by each week so i can get my filthy little hands on a D4 of my own now!!

I'll get measured up as quick as i can and get my order over for my suit and let ya know when i'm ready. I know it's not an ideal place but it would be great to try stuff out and then at least you will know what works and what does'nt when you get to SaltFree and utalise your time better once your in Chepstow.

I can't wait to get cracking and cant wait to meet all the guy's and gals at Chepstow.

Thanks for your comment on my blogsite, it means a lot. I'm quite new and training is hard as it's all trail and error, i'm sure Sam and the team will put me right on a few things when i get down there.

Thanks...
