Hi,
do you guys like to wear your lead tight, or rather loose?
what's the best way to use it like and at what height on your body?
thx

For me my belly will stop the lead from ridin' up on the dive!!! rofl

But on the ascent - if you (especially wearing a wetsuit) are compressed a little" from being at depth, your belt WILL be alot looser! I have almost lost my weight belt this way! Keep it a little snug! Even if you are a skinny person. Lotsa people have lost (or almost) lost thier lead belts because they were too loose I'm sure. Oh and I hope you know to use a RUBBER belt...I've heard plenty of guys complain that had nylon weight belts..."Whoa man...I almost lost my weight belt on the way up!"...:t

Fretn- as far as "where" to wear your weight belt- place it on the upper half of your Buttocks, Tush, Arse, B-hind- whatever you call it- and make it snug- I would also recommend a RUBBER WEIGHT BELT.

For spearing, I use a rubber Marseille-style belt. I think it's a popular choice for spearos. Mine is from Rob Allen but Omer make them too, and no doubt many other companies. I wear it fairly tight on land as it seems to loosen up a little in the water.

Watching freediver Tanya Streeter on TV last year, it looked like she used something like a bootlace as a crotch strap, perhaps to stop the belt from sliding while diving down.
