Hi All

Well, things are hotting up for the 2013 LIC Pairs competition. We already have 38 divers confirmed with a month still to go. We always have a lot of people at the BBQ, and with the PicassoUK lads kindly hosting the event on Portland Bill itself, it promises to be a really festive event. We have also been sponsored with some really great prizes.

For those who don’t know, it’s a specimen competition with a maximum of only 6 fish allowed to be weighed in per pair of divers. Valid species are Bass, Pollack, Cod, Mullet (all species), Black Bream and Flatfish (all species except Skate and Rays). Each team (pair) weighs in their biggest specimen for each of the 6 categories. For the full rules and information for registering, please refer to the attachments posted previously in this thread.

Don’t forget, the closing date for entries is the 28th June.
See you there!
Kevin

Hi All

For a change, the weather forecast looks awesome for this weekend so the LIC Pairs Comp will go ahead as planned. We expect a great turn out with 44 divers registered and about 80 people at the bbq. We look forward to seeing some of you there. We also have some fantastic prizes thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, particularly Denney’s Diving, Picasso UK, Othree and Polosub.

Please be aware that your fish are your responsibility so be prepared to take them home with you.
If you are camping at PicassoUK premises on Friday night, please do not arrive before 1pm as the PicassoUK boys need time to get set up.
Remember, you can dive where you want but if you dive around Portland, please mind the strong tides and the local regulations (see attached).

Regards
Kevin

Kev/Greg, thanks again for helping to make the event such a success.

Kevin and Greg that was a fantastic spot to hold the event. A lot of work was put into preparing and organising it I should imagine. Well done and thanks.
I'm looking forward to trying out the Picasso gun I won. Thanks again lads
