Wow. Feral, I suppose? What in the world would you do with that.

We have a lot of feral pigs in Texas. They are actually becoming a plague here. They can begin breeding at three months of age and have a few litters each year. Being that they usally have between 6 to 10 piglets per birthing and they start to spread like coachroaches. They are beginning to have a dire affect on natural species, because they will eat just about anything. They have such a keen sense of smell that they have been known to find newborn deer fawns hiding in the grass and eat them.

I have been hunting them at my property, but when they get over 150 pounds, they taste so gamey that they don't taste very good. Especially the boars. I shot a 350 boar that we cleaned that stunk on ice. Even when we cooked the meat, it stunk up the whole house. It smelled like a pig pen.

Maybe they'd make a decent sausage. There might as well not be any meat in those anyway, with all those spices.

I think the real reason they smell so bad and taste so gamey is because they still have their testicles. Commercial grown male hogs are casturated while they are still young, so they don't have all that testosterone. The wild hogs have a set of cojonones that look like two cantolopes. Not pretty

Dallasdiver, you volunteering to cut the balls of that pig in the photo?;)
You would need B0ll0CKs the same size I'd wager!

No thankyou!!!! I have a technique to clean these bad boys and take the backstraps and all four quarters without busting the gut sack. Lord help you if you bust open that thing.
