I am in need of a powerhead that slips over a Hawaiian sling shaft (5/16")... In particular, this is the one I had my eye on:

Limited Use Powerhead: Spearfishing Gear

However, if you notice, the site is closed and is waiting to be sold....

I have seen devices much like this, but they require a screw-on element to be attached to the spear... I have several like this, but they require time and dexterity to be attached, neither of which you have in the moment... The sling does not have threaded ends, anyway....

SpearFishingGear.com had to have gotten the item from a supplier, but I am not having any luck tracking them down.... does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this device from another supplier? How about a different device that is identical, but has the same functional capability? I don't want a bulky standard powerhead with some sort of slip-on adapter (these are available from scubasworld.com: Torres Power Head, Accessories - ScubasWorld) like the Torres Power Head... The one in the first link is a much better solution for my particular situation....

Any help out there???

EDIT: I found this one:
http://www.scubasworld.com/proddetail.php?prod=PPD&cat=24

I may end up going with this one, so I will try to let you know how they work...

PPD`s are made by Ray Odor in FL..
are ok..
or you can DIY ....very easy ..just need 2 copper or SS tubes..one fit in each other the bullet in the smallest one and a hose at rear to fit yr shaft in..

they are not nice looking in my pics but are diving everyday..!and working when ever i need..

good luck ..
