Have just recieved a reef trigger mech with auto line release & resetting from Josh at neptonics. Has anyone set one up for bottom line release or is side release the norm?

I set this one as a top release!

You're just showing off now! Been toying with various configurations in my head and i think i stick with the side release as per design, just used to the bottom release on my production gun. Mods, please deal with this thread as you see fit.

OK well it depends on the guns design, sometimes the line will interfere with the bands or especially if a reel is fitted.

I have used it before, the only thing I don't like is that you have to make your profile a bit taller to be able to mount the release that low. Email josh and he will send you the specs for mounting it. Saves all the guess work.
