Just wanting to know if anyone is going out for the lobster opener this weekend or what you have done in years past. We might be going out up in Long Beach, but if those plans fall through we'll probably be in the La Jolla area.

Im thinking of going out on the overnighter to open the season. Let me contact my dive buddies and see if they are going. I will probably be Scuba diving, but you can definately come. The first night would be awesome to do. Just dont come up till 12:01. lol

We ended up taking the kayak out of Dana Harbor on opening night to the outside of the breakwater, got 1, too small. Saw a lot of other real small ones. Lot of trappers, a few other divers. Walked out last night and hit the outside wall again, and got 4, kept 1. :friday Lot of bugs, just not many keepers in the area. How did you guys do?

Congrats on your keeper.

Eh, opening weekend i couldnt go out at all. But monday me and sucinimad went out in Laguna (not quite san diego) and we saw some big uns, but they were well holed up. He grabbed one that was just under size, and i got an antennae from a really nice one. Alas no lobsters, but he got one on saturday i think from the same area we dove in. We are going out again on friday at 7:30 am and this time we know where they all are!
