I just got back from Tobermorey. Most of the people I was with were bubble blowers, but I mixed in just fine.
There were wrecks at every depth level. Some even broke the surface! Others started at 20' and went down to 150'.
There were even some really cool caverns to swim around in.
The water was warm (70 degrees) above 50'. The vis was also at least 40'-50' on every dive.
I'd love to go back.

Thank you so much for the CAFA link.
I'm a sixteen year old girl living in Sechelt, British Colombia, and hadn't even heard of freediving until last summer. Since then I've become completely obssessed, but I still don't know any freedivers / dive spots since I live in an isolated town in the middle of nowhere. So I really appreciate the post!

Hi Abbie....Sechelt and Egmont have some fantastic spots for freediving, so you are in a good spot, as soon as you find a buddy to dive with.

Abbie,

My favourite dive site in BC is right next to you: Agamemnon's channel (also called powerlines). It is a steep wall that descends to 200m+, with huge vis, finger sponges, gorgonian corals and eerie emerald water.

I'm actually planning a trip up there for November and December with my friends...perhaps we could dive with you!

Erik, you're in Indonesia and know about Egmont / Sechelt?!
I've always hated it for being in the middle of nowhere, I had no idea about the diving.
You're right too, your post made me curious and I went to the local scuba shop figuring that a good scuba diving spot is a good freediving spot, and they had a list of some good places. What's your favorite spot? Eric F., Agamemnon's channel sounds awesome.
