Today and yesterday when I tried to log out I received the following message:

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/swhelan/forums.deeperblue.net/htdocs/includes/init.php
Line: 27

What is happening?

Me too :(
Funny thing Colin logged me out yesterday, he said he couldnt so deleted the cookie tray but tonight I just get logged off without trying??? Have I got slow cookies?

Why do you guys log out if you're working from private computers?

Well for us being husband and wife the laptop is a usefull means of access so we both need to be able to log in and out as we want

Isn't that romantic?

One day I'll find a diver-girl to share a laptop with.

Folks - I am aware of the problems. There is obviously a fundamental problem with the login/logout code on the forums but I haven't had time to investigate. I will be looking into it this Saturday.

Many Thanks

We have escalated this problem to the support department of Jelsoft - the makers of vBulletin (that runs these forums).

One question though - when did people start seeing this problem manifest itself?

A couple of days before Lucia mentioned it. Its gone the other way for me now, I cant stay logged on between sessions :(

The issue is the same - something on the server isn't handling "cookies" (little text files that keep your user login info stored on your computer). It's very weird as nothing has changed on the server.

Damn! and there was me hoping the would be chocolate hobnobs hehehe. I dont know anything about bugs but I think this is a cookie monster problem ;)

Yea - my worry is that bizzare behaviour normally accompanies a server compromise (hack) which then costs hundreds of pounds to get fixed and lots of downtime.
