Found an interesting bunch of old newsletters and mighty impressive they must have been in the 1960's.. Historical Chronicles of London No. 1 Scuba Diving Club

There is an article about flying to Guernsey on a DC3 for a weekend at the cost of £8 15s!! (Jan 1960) Is the Shikara II still in Guernsey??

Also an article warning that there is NO Diving allowed in Portland Harbour, never seemed to stop the locals!!!!! (Oct 1960)

Have a browse through - some great stuff

Need a new wetsuit, make one yourself using the pattern in March-April 1960 - brings back memories of the smell of evostik wafting through the house!!!

TODAY'S HAPPY THOUGHT
Quoting from a recently published magazine on Wine we find
that "Every year about three to four THOUSAND MILLION gallons of
wine are produced in the world. All the indications are that
this output is to be dramatically increased during the next ten
years."
The Editor finds this very reassuring and looks forward to
contented old age, and in the meanwhile will be delighted to
have offers of assistance in increasing the present demand.
