Moving to Addis Ababa this October, looking for a buddy for pool training. Long shot but worth a try I guess.
 
Hahaha I laughed when I read this! Oman (relatively close) is desperate for freedivers. But sorry can't help with Ethiopia.

Why don't you go explore southern red sea region?? Looks like a very interesting area..
