Hi, when I came back from training yesterday I always felt dizzy when trying to stand up from the couch, so I checked my blood pressure and both values were over 10mmhg lower than usually. That lasted for the rest of the evening. Since I'm normally a bit above optimal, I found this quiet nice. How about divers that have been training for years? Will blood pressure lower? Rise? Stay the same? How about the veterans here, what are your values?

I am not sure to which extend breath-hold diving is an important factor in the daily regulation of bloodpressure, other then the effect of exercise on the bloodpressure in general. The 10mm lower bloodpressure could be caused by a lot of different causes, including dehydration, relaxation, or even an measurement error.

I have been diving every week for 14 years and my BP has remained 120/80.

You could have gotten dehydrated from the training.

Hi,
I have the opposite case of BP after breath hold or deep diving.
In the last expiriment of breath hold inside a chamber i did 1 BH on 1 ATM
the second was to 4 ATM-in both cases it took long time to my BP to go back to normal-which is a bit higher then 120/80.
I checked another time after deep dive and for the rest of the day/evening my BP was still high.
Its somthing that i try to understand but i dont realy know how.
Maybee more test on different BH training.
If anyone has a clue what could effect my BP i realy like to know.
Alon.
