Long-term influence of apnea on human body?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Does anybody know about any serious scientifical research into the long-term influence on brain etc.?

Or do you at least know someone who have been frediving for at least say 20 years, is now more than 60 and is mentally OK? :confused:
 
The old ladies in Japan, pearl divers, spend all their lives freediving and they all seem to be alright, deaf as doorposts though.......
