Here's my question, why do most spearguns have ten cm (four inches) or so of spear hanging off the stock of the gun? What advantage does it provide, besides the obvious tracking improvement? It just seems a little counter intuitive because the more stock you have, the farther your bands can pull and the father your spear goes!
on a side note, how do you measure a speargun? I hear a lot about 90 cm to 100 cm guns, but where do you measure? is it the stretch range of the bands?
