Longline fishing may use a several miles long cable which is drifting on the sea surface with thousands of baited hooks...The bycatch is made of sharks, turtles, sea mammals, rays, sea birds which get discarded or used for baiting hooks!! This destructive fishing technic is wiping out fish population and by catch where its working...

I have thought for many years that if people want to eat fish, they should have to catch it themselves. I know the world is not that simple, with economics, jobs and things, however we cannot continue clearing the oceans in the way we are. Massive krill gathering factory ships, this longlining and much more besides.
