If you are still looking for someone to dive with, then send me a message or reply to this thread. I live in South Somerset (20 minutes from Bridport) and am always on the lookout for a freediving/spearfishing buddy. I have a small (and I mean small!) boat which I keep at the beach and I am into both spearfishing and freediving. So if you fancy meeting up, get in touch.

hi guys,
New to the forum and relatively new to freediving. Have dived a fair amount this summer in Cyprus and have ordered some kit which i should have by next week. I've never done any kind of diving in the uk before and I have to say im a bit intimidated by the cold and the low visibility conditions, compared to the Med. I don't know if you guys dive all through the winter but I would love to get in the water. I'm a student at Southampton Uni but I'm definitely up for meeting people in Dorset, Plymouth etc if anyone needs a buddy.
Again, I am a beginner and will probably need some guidance and some local knowledge of the diving areas but if you fancy meeting get in touch

Miros, I often dive at and around Eype in Dorset. If you ever fancy a dive, drop me a message via the forums and I'd be happy to show you the area. I dive throughout the winter so am always on the lookout for calm clear conditions...

Definitely up for some dives this season. Drop me a message if you're down this side (West) of Portland - I mostly dive around Eype and Lyme Regis, but am always up for trying a new site or two.

Hi Jimmy live in Weymouth have dived the Fleet alot ! can be fab place but often Viz is pretty bad, I have seen some amazing fish down there and caught a few. I used to net down there many years ago and we caught some realy big Mullet one tipped scales at 15 pounds ! I think there are the odd fisherman who still fish it now but I belive they have clamped down alot on what is fished. I used to be good friends with the wardens down there who had no problem with me popping in. There are some strange laws about the fleet, I was told that as long as I did not touch the sea bed or shore they could not stop me going in !

i am a total newbie so need someone to show me the ropes.. was initially interested in freediving as i thought this would help the spearfishing.. however after reading up it seems they are 2 completely different concepts so i am tempted to get straight in with the fishing!
if anybody can help me i live in bournemouth/poole area. JUST WANT SOMEONE TO DIVE WITH!
