I am just relocating to the Long Beach area and would like to take advantage of the warm temps at the moment.
I am an experienced freediver, would like to get to know the area and keep it safe. Thinking of Catalina for Sunday, or...

Sorry, I missed your message. When do you start diving again? I made it out to Catalina, do have some local coastal spots too?

I usually dive laguna just for freediving and spear Crystal Cove. I'd like to get to some new spots this year. I haven't been out since fall since I don't have a dive buddy I don't go very often.

Hey @22blue and @somlt1 ! I thought I'd drop a note in this thread to let you know that a handful of people in LA area have been getting a regular line dive meetup going.

The goal is to get a regular thing happening so people start connecting. A few people have been making it out to practice on a line off Redondo Beach for a few months now. Mostly weekly. Hoping to connect with more people and be able to buddy up to go elsewhere whenever visibility is good or team up for a charter, etc. Many of the dive boats in LA area offer freedive/spearfishing trips, but they're mostly geared to spearfishing and wouldn't work for a lone freediver, so we need a buddy network to take advantage of what's here!
