Looking for Freediving Buddy in Santa Monica/Malibu

Hello Everybody,
I just moved from Santiago, Chile to Santa Monica, CA and would love to start doing some freediving on the weekends. I've read to many stories of how dangerous is to dive alone, so I'm looking for somebody to to join me. I checked Topanga Beach and is pretty good to do some freediving from the shore.

So far I have dive a couple of times in Topanga beach, and I really like it for training.
I don't do spearfishing unfortunately.

Have you taken any freediving courses?

Nope.
I have just done it recreationally. The most I have done is a minute 30 and about 30 feet deep. Right now I'm in pretty good shape and I think that I could get there pretty quick and improve those marks.

Hey Fernando. I see that this is an old post, but, are you stoll looking? I'm a level 2 freediver and will be in Sta Monica in July. Still looking?
