If you have one, I make reusable ammo sleeves and can give you enough information to make your own!

How do you stop the spear falling out from the nose of the sleeve? The plastic ones are slightly tight to grip the shaft tang, they only had to do it once as firing the gun destroyed them. The expended sleeve and cartridge was easier to fish out of the breech after the shot by having the front end blown off.

The metal ones I machined are exactly .556 mm/22 cal with a little aquaseal in the end with a plastic ball for a plug. I never had a spear slide out. A little Vaseline in the breach and barrel has also prevented corrosion and a little stickyness to prevent this!
 
Do the sleeves keep their dimensions after repeated use or do they tend to expand?
