Hi all,
I’m researching for an international documentary film about plastic waste and environmental pollution. We would like to feature a location in open waters, which has lots of plastic pollution/litter, which we could film underwater. Similar to this viral video filmed near Bali in 2018.

Do you know a location where this is currently the case?

From my research spots like this are constantly changing due to currents and seasons. I already tried some news research on google to find reports about recent "plastic islands", but so far I haven't been successful. So I thought maybe someone around here has heard or seen something?

We really appreciate your help and any ideas you might have, thanks a lot!
