Hi, I have been spearfishing for about 18 months and still a beginner..about 5m max is my comfortable depth at the moment. The water is too cold now in the UK now and I'm looking to do a trip to the Algarve to warmer water in April 2018.
Does anyone now of any spearfishing courses or individual spearos in that area to buddy up with??

By April things are just starting to warm up again in the UK - a bit early for my tastes these days but others claim to spear the odd fish then (fish tend to be fewer - or absent - then in my experience). We visited the Algarve (Portugal) in April some years ago - just to give the family a break after a long winter and immediately before some major upheavals - it was good, came back with an early tan. Good luck!
