Can't go wrong with a Wong! Or you could get a Rob Allen like us "regular guys" :t ...Nothing wrong with an R.A.!!!

I'm still shootin' a JBL-until September :head...Then the Rob Allen's arrive!:martial

Buy my gun? Riffe "new model" euro 110 w/ reel. I've shot seabass, calicos, yellowtail, Grouper, Wahoo, Dorado, Hog Snapper, Cudas, and even shot a Rooster fish in Costa Rica w/ it. Super accurate, moderate loading, rear handle gun $500.00 Look it up in buy sell section.

It's 7 months old, you bet it is. I've cleaned with teak oil after each use. Did you view the pictures in the "Goods for sale" section?

I am Also thinking about getting another set-up for bluewater, Any ideas for that? Should i have a reel or a float line on this one? thanks

As far as advice goes, I may not be the authority on spearfishing of the west Coast but I have been active in the sport for 22 yrs. and owned a few guns in my time.

A true bluewater gun would be over 60" in. have a completely enclosed track (to assure the straightest of shots, for distance) set up w/ a breakaway and floatline and when necessary even a float. Bluewater guns are meant for that special, one shot one kill, on a large pelagic species. However there are many pelagics that I would prefer to take with a reel rather than float due to special circumstances; i.e: kelp, rocky terrain, wrecks, heavy current, etc. That is why passionate spearos own several different guns, similar to land hunting.

Hope that helps!
